I am asked many times a day if
If an operator only logs on for 5 hours a week, then her chances of success are very limited. Chatline work requires a serious mindset and a focused mind that can view this type of work as a proper job, rather than a vocation. I’m talking about setting personal shifts, continually setting goals to improve call times, and, of course, promoting themselves to attract regular callers.
There are key areas that all new and experienced chatline operators need to consider when performing their chatline operator duties to earn healthy revenues and achieve success within this industry.
My Formula for Becoming a Successful Chatline Operator
My formula for becoming a successful Chatline operator from home is very simple. If you take this formula into account while doing this job, your revenues will undoubtedly increase, which is what we all aim for.
1. You must log on , as simple as it sounds, but without logging on frequently, you won’t take as many calls, and therefore your call minutes will be reduced. Reduced call minutes equate to making less money than is possible.2. Set yourself personal shift times . For example, I log on from 9 pm to 1 am, Monday through Friday. My regular callers always know when I am logged on, and since I work these shifts regularly, they accommodate my life. I would always encourage operators to set personal shift times that are completed regularly and fit well around their lives.3. Give your PIN number out to every caller that you can. Promoting yourself is the key to turning a one-time caller into a regular caller, and regular callers can generate a significant amount of money for you. Some operators only log on and take calls with their regular callers, and these calls typically last a long time. Regular callers really do increase your revenues.4. Do not rush into the adult chat . If you give a caller everything in 2 minutes, then that is how long the call will last! If you rush into the adult chat, your calls will be very short, and they can become very boring. You want to be fun, flirty and friendly. You want to have stories that you can refer to and topics to talk about. It’s not all about the adult chat!5. Politeness will get you everywhere. Operators with attitudes have bad calls fall stop. Over the years, we have unfortunately had some operators who took calls and were very moody and aggressive with the callers. This significantly impacted their hold time to the point where callers avoided them. So, please be happy, polite and entertaining!6. Switch it up. If you’ve been a 24-year-old blonde training to be a beautician for 3 years, you may sound a bit bored with this character. Revamp your character, give her a new job, and make her more engaging. Tell the callers about your made-up goals or your next holiday. Make your character interesting, have something to talk about and never sound bored on the phone, or callers will hang up!7. Lead every call , be confident but not too brassy. Allow the caller to feel that he is in charge, but you ultimately call the shots.8. Callers are paying customers . They deserve a good service which is entertaining. Remember, you are the entertainer; they want to know all about your character. If you are interesting and friendly, callers will stay on the phone with you for a long time.9. Sound happy! This experience has to be different for them, one that he can remember so that hopefully he calls you back. He can speak to a moody female anywhere! You have to be different; you have to be smiling throughout the duration of the call, so he knows that you are genuine and “enjoying” the conversation together.10. No background noise on calls. Callers do not want to hear blaring televisions or barking dogs. This is a personal experience between you and him… Keep it that way!!
